People and the Farmlands

The monochromatic series of images illustrate the countryside and the ambiance that it offers. There is a certain calmness and stillness in everything that happens at these farmlands— the trees, the people, the stretched plains, all offer a unique quality of peace despite the hardships the inhabitants face due to the absence of modern technology and infrastructure. While trying to make a living for themselves, the people of the farmlands also serve the greater population of the country.

For the inhabitants delight and rejoicing lies in a successful harvest. Devastation lies in the form of unwanted rain. Their life revolves around their crops— this is all they’ve ever known and cared for. Day or night, sweltering heat or freezing cold, they are on their fields each day.
